A hand with the next step
Back to
your bake day.
Start a booking, look after your files, or get help with something that stopped working.
Email BakeRoster supportInclude your device, iOS version, app version and what happened. Leave out private customer details unless you choose to share them. Opening an email does not send it.
01 · First booking
Start with the kitchen you know.
- In Kitchen, check your working days, hours, equipment and currency. Turn on “I reviewed these kitchen settings”, then save.
- In Recipes, add a recipe you actually bake. Enter its yield and stage times. The example is a starting point; check its values before using it.
- In Orders, choose Capture an order. Paste a message, choose a screenshot, or enter the details yourself.
- Check the recipe, quantity, customer and exact pickup time. Check the kitchen plan, review its notes, then save the booking.
Nothing is sent to your customer. Timing conflicts need your review: the planner estimates seven days for one baker, one mixer, one oven and cooling space. It does not guarantee a real-world fit.
Can I enter an order without a message or screenshot?
Yes. Choose Enter order details from the capture screen. Mixed-recipe requests use a separate booking for each recipe, with the same customer and pickup time.
Does sharing a message book it automatically?
No. The Share extension saves selected text or one image into your local inbox. Open it in BakeRoster and review the details before approving a booking. It does not read your conversations.
02 · Drafts & recovery
Keep the original. Then recover.
Keep the app installed if something cannot be read. Export a copy from Kitchen → Help & files → Recovery files before replacing anything. Those files can contain private customer messages and screenshots; choose carefully where you share them.
Where is an unfinished order or recipe?
Resume an order from Orders. For a new recipe draft, open Recipes → Add a recipe. Existing-recipe edits reopen from that recipe. Save or explicitly discard an unfinished draft before starting another.
What if the app says a file needs attention?
Editing or saving can pause to protect the existing file. Use the recovery action shown in Kitchen, or export the originals and contact support. Recovering the last readable library can return to an older saved state. Do not delete the app or overwrite your only copy while investigating.
How should I back up my order book?
Use Kitchen → Help & files → Export private library backup, then keep the exported file somewhere secure. A backup is a separate copy, not cloud sync. Restoring replaces the current library after preserving a recovery copy; check the restored bookings and draft before continuing.
Will support automatically receive my files?
No. Feedback stays a local draft until you choose to copy, share or send it. No customer file is automatically attached. Describe the problem first and send private files only when you deliberately choose to.
03 · Subscriptions
Capacity for the next order.
Free includes three open bookings at a time. Pro includes up to 25. Completing or cancelling a booking frees a slot; this is not a monthly allowance. Existing saved bookings, amendments, progress and exports remain usable after paid access ends.
How do I restore or manage Pro?
Open Kitchen and choose Restore purchases using the same Apple Account used for purchase. Manage or cancel through the App Store subscription settings. The monthly or annual charge and billing period appear before checkout; Apple handles payment.
What if checkout is pending or plans do not load?
Your saved work and draft remain available. Retry loading plans when you are ready. Pending approval is separate from an active subscription. Closing the in-app offer does not cancel an Apple checkout already in progress. If Apple confirms access later, return to the booking and review it before saving.
Does Pro include messaging, inventory or accounting?
No. Pro increases open-booking capacity for the same production workflow. Ingredient requirements are not stock counts; ingredient costs exclude labour, fees, overhead and tax. You remain responsible for customer commitments, dietary requests and food safety.
